KISS/KIDD – does my child have something terrible?

I prefer to use the term KISS when speaking with parents. In this context it seems to me that “syndrome” is a loaded word – it’s overly dramatic. Kinematic Imbalance due to Suboccipital Stress (without “syndrome”) is a functional disorder. Without the benefit of treatment, a more or less good compensation often develops naturally. Your child will neither have a shortened lifespan nor be obviously handicapped.

But compensating is never the best alternative: compensating ties up resources that your child’s body then lacks when encountering other tasks.
